  • Special Guest: B. Meenakumari, Chairperson, NBA, Chennai, India addressed the trainees at the introductory session on the topic “ Conservation of Biodiversity
    Biological Diversity Act & Challenges”
  • Following topics were presented by various resource persons:
  • Session- I: Biodiversity Act, 2002 & Rules 2004 by Dr. Sangita Mitra, Senior Consultant NBA, Chennai
  • Session –II &III:  Biodiversity Management Committee & People’s Biodiversity Register by Dr. Sangita Mitra, Senior Consultant NBA, Chennai
  • Session IV: Overview of the State Biodiversity Board and Traditional Knowledge System by  Sapu Changkija, Prof., SASRD & Member NSBB
  • Session V: Nagaland State Biodiversity Rules, 2011 & Naga Customary Laws by Mr. Neizokhotuo, Technical Executive & Consultant, NSBB
  • A total of  50 Officials from various line departments attended viz., EF&CC, Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Services, Horticulture, Science & Technology, Bioresources Mission, Information & Public Relations

  • Session III: Access Benefit Sharing Mechanism by National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai
  • Session IV: Horticultural Crop Diversity in Nagaland by Dr. C.S. Maiti, Associate Professor, Department of Horticulture, SASRD, Nagaland University
  • A total of 33 Officials from various line departments attended viz., EF&CC, Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Services, Horticulture, Science & Technology, Bioresources Mission, Information & Public Relations
